I do like these and they suit my small household and light use but I can tell that they probably wont last in the long run. For salt they are great but when it comes to the pepper it comes out very uneven and you can hear the grinder struggling. The light on the pepper grinder went out but I just kept them because the light was not important to me. If you will be using these for light use I would go for it, the price is right. If you are looking for something for heavy use and have a large household I would suggest getting one of the higher priced grinder sets.Customer Review: Very Satisfied!

I bought this pair of electric salt-n-pepper mills about 5 months ago because they were more reasonably priced than the William Sanoma brand. So far so good. They work fine under almost daily use. I haven't even had to replace the batteries (yet). But they are a little more over-sized & bulky than I wanted & there is no light at the bottom (like the William Sanoma ones). I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because of the size of the actual mills... a little too big for my taste. Overall, I am very pleased. The peppermill lasted for 3 months. The plastic drive has disintegrated. We've hardly used it! I have called the customer service number, and they tell me that there is no warranty unless the store I bought it from offers a 30 warranty! Their suggestion is to buy softer peppercorns and offered me 15% of a new one.
The customer rep's supervisor only accepts and returns emails.
The person that answers the phone will not transfer you to anyone.
The president does not call back if you leave a message for them

I'm sure if you spent $100 or more for a salt and pepper dispenser it would be the experience of a lifetime, but for those of us who just want some fresh salt and pepper on their food this is a good product at a reasonable price. I've had this product for a couple of months and the only quirk I've had is that one of the batteries occasionally pops half way out of its holder. So I open it, push the battery back in and everything's fine. The "grinding" mechanism produces even salt and pepper particles and the light is surprisingly handy.Customer Review: great idea - doesn't work

We were thrilled with the performance for less than two weeks. And I really wanted it to work! The peppercorns get stuck between the grinding ball and the outside of the container, making the product not useable until you empty all the peppercorns and try to dislodge the ones that are caught. Motor and light work well, as does the unit when used with salt. We e-mailed the manufacturer, but these 'gizmos' only come with 30 day warranty and their response was .. send them back to us and we'll send you a new set for only $30. +p/h!!
