Customer Review: Interesting idea. Basic flaw.

I bought the one-cup version. It's accurate, and the non-breakable, microwavable, and heat-resist material is great. In this larger version, the soft-sides could be useful in creating a narrow pouring spout. Extra height above the 4-cup line makes it easy to mix ingredients or handle cup without spilling.
HOWEVER, if you look closely at the picture, you'll see that for each cup, some measurement points don't have printed lines. (In the one-cup measure, these are the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and 1-cup lines; in the larger measures, the 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-cup lines.) Instead, they are simply fine ridges running around the inside of the cup. These become invisible when measuring liquids and very faint when measuring powders. How did this ever get past the design stage!? I've tried to make more noticeable marks on mine, but it's difficult to create ones that are sufficiently thin, accurately positioned, and permanent.
Also, ounces aren't marked.
