I've gone through several ice cream scoops. They either break (usually at the junction between the handle and the scoop) or corrode to the point where they are unusable.
Finally found an ice cream scoop that can go the distance. Easy and comfortable to use even with rock hard ice cream, and very sturdy construction. I've had this for nearly two years and it has held up extremely well.
Bit pricy, but it will be the last ice cream scoop you'll ever need to buy.

I can't believe I am writing a review for an ice cream scoop...but it really is THAT good! I was so tired of ice cream scoops that broke, or that wouldn't "let go" of the ice cream once it was in the scoop. When I saw this "award winning" scoop I decided it was worth a try, and I'm so glad I bought it. No more waiting for ice cream to thaw out a bit before scooping it, or heating up the scoop in warm water. With the Zyliss scoop, you can have your ice cream when you want it.Customer Review: d

I have had this scooper for about three years now. It was great for about the first 8-12 months, then the coating in the scoop starting to pit. I still use it, since I have not bought anything else. I like how it scoops and the ice cream does not stick too bad to it, but I don't like the pitting of the scoop.
I gave it a two, since the finish in the scoop is junk and is coming off. If it was not pitting, I would have given it a 5 star.

i never thought much about an ice cream scoop until i realized that most of my good spoons were bent all to heck by people digging into hard ice cream. i bought the zyliss scoop and love it. i bought the one prior to this that has the lever and the moving part in the scoop to dislodge the ice cream. it never worked that well and always seemed to be jammed up. this one has no moving parts and works extremely well on hard ice creamCustomer Review: finally...

i keep buying scoops hoping for the magic one...this is it. the tupper party one went in the trash, as well as the mechanical scraper one, among others, but this one is not only extremely well balanced and ergonomic, it fits your hand like a glove. Best of all allows you to tunnel straight down vs a side scoop....you wont know what you have been missing til you try it. would buy again and give as gift...great product.
