The only problem I have with this is that it doesn't come with several different grating sizes... it only shreds finely, not coarsely. But otherwise, I like the detachable handle and the ease of use. Also, it's not good at all for softer cheeses, such as cheddar or mozzarella. This grater is a fantastic tool for grating tough cheese such as parmesan and romano. I tried grating cheddar cheese once using this tool and the cheese got stuck inside. A terrible idea.
Also, I'm left-handed so this was a bit tough to get accustomed to. I wish Zyliss would make a left-handed version of this grater.

We have had this unit for a month or two. Heavy usage and feels like it will last for a while. Works great. Would be nice at times if you could make it press a little more, but even with light pressure your cheese will still grate and come out. I have had and used this for several years and I love it. It is great for adding fresh grated cheese to dishes and salads. The weakness is that, while it works excellent for hard cheeses, it does not do soft cheese well. I do not grate a lot of soft cheese so this attribute does not bother me.Customer Review: Makes spagetti more fun

We ordered this cheese grater because we like fresh grated Romano on our pasta. The grater is very functional and easy to clean. It comes apart in three pieces. I do wish it had additional grater drums for different size output. The one received produces a very fine grated cheese.
