This is a good kitchen drawer sharpener. It works on the entire range of kitchen knives, from soft steel steak knives to hard steel boning knives. Just remember, there are at least two steps to getting a knife sharp. The first is honing, the second is removal of material (sharpening). When your honing steel can't get your knives sharp anymore it's time for some sharpening. Use this sharpener for 10 - 20 seconds and THEN follow up with your honing steel. If you don't follow up with the honing steel you won't get the results you want.Customer Review: Better than nothing

This sharpener uses two sets of wheels, one to sharpen and one to hone. It hones well but is limited in its ability to sharpen. The wheels are in the same slot. In theory you might use both in one pass, but in practice I found that changing your hand position changes which set of wheels contacts the blade. Knowing this, you can sharpen and hone separately. The Twin Sharp is handy for touch-ups and I used it between regular sharpenings until I gave it to a friend. This was a gift for my wife who is going to Culinary School and uses Henckel Four Star knives. The two step sharpener works great and is very easy to use. A few strokes in slot 1, then about the same amount of strokes in slot II and the knife is new sharp again. The body of the sharpener is easy to grasp and really feels secure on the table with its rubber feet holding it steady as you run the knife in each of the slots. This sharpener not only works great but also looks great with its stainless steel body and frame.Customer Review: Works as advertised

I have a set of Henckels Professional 'S' knives. I was always disappointed with the sharpness until I sharpened them with the Henckels Twin Sharp Duo Knife Sharpener. I'm not a chef nor someone who is enthusiastic about cooking and preparation. Follow the instructions and the sharpener works as advertised. I can't compare it to another sharpener and I didn't try to cut paper with a sharpened knife. The knives cut food much better. Good enough for me.Customer Review: Fast and Easy

Small and compact. Just leave on the counter and right before you start to prepare food, give the knife a couple quick pulls on the fine wedge and it is just amazing how sharp, so fast. The sound and feel is a little "scratchy", but the result is perfect. I am using mostly pro Henckels knives to begin with, but I have had no problem bringing some old cheaper knives back to a perfect edge with this sharpener. I gave up my trusty old crock sticks.
