There's nothing really wrong with these knives for the price but you get what you pay for. Despite the fact that Amazon (and other retailers) state that these knives are made in Germany, they are not. Both the packaging and the knives themselves are clearly marked as "Made in Spain".
Henkels is based in Germany and still makes their better cutlery in Germany but has long operated a factory in Spain where they make lower-priced, lower-quality knives usually sold under the "Henkels International" brand. Even though other reviewers had commented that these knives were made in Spain, I decided to take a chance on them since these knives were sold under the "Zwilling J. A. Henckels" brand and were advertised as being German-made.
They are, in fact, made in Spain and are comparable to other lower-priced knives sold for similar prices. If you're interested in inexpensive knives that are of reasonable quality for the price, you shouldn't be disappointed in these. However, Amazon's product information is misleading and the knives are not really a bargain, as they certainly would be if made in Germany. It's for this reason that I've given them a two-star rating.
If you're looking for quality knives that are well-balanced, will hold their edge and will last a lifetime, I recommend paying the price for true German-made Henkels or Wusthof top-of-the-line forged knives. for Henkels, these whould include their Four Star, Five Star and Professional "S" lines. For Wusthof, this would be their Classic and Grand Prix lines. They're much more expensive but, again, you get what you pay for.
