Customer Review: Keep those School Lunches HOT!

The Zojirushi Ms. Bento Stainless Lunch Jar is everything I hoped it would be. I send it to school with a 7 year old girl and she is thrilled to have hot lunches. Although the instructions included with it are not in English, it's pretty self-explanatory. Before I put any food in it, I pour a cup of hot water in the Lunch Jar (with all the containers in it), and let it sit closed for a few minutes, before putting her food in it. (Obviously, dumping the water out first).
ALthough other reviewers have said that the top container goes down to room temperature, we have had it stay nice and warm--the perfect eating temperature. The bottom container does stay hot at least for 5 hours (haven't tested it further).
Even though the price may seem high, believe me, it was definitely worth it to us, especially with a somewhat picky eater and a peanut allergy. Instead of scrambling around, scratching your head for something to send for lunch (that would be okay cold), being able to send a hot lunch is just terrific!
We've had no leaking problems (and we don't even use the lunch bag it came with, as she has her Hello Kitty Lunch Bag) Just keep it upright, although, don't panic --we've had it on its side before and no leakage! :)
TO me, this was the greatest thing I could've given myself, as again, it opened up so many more possibilities for school lunches. (And my little girl couldn't be happier!)
