I got this after reading all the good reviews...so glad I did. Was all ready to get a foreman grill before I looked this one over.
Just love it:
--gets very hot
--lovely grill marks
--minimal smoke ( I use it on or near the stove top vent)
--food tastes great
I used someone else's suggestion and bought a disposable foil pan (one with handles) and use it as a lid. I think the food cooks faster and there seems to be no smoke at all

I missed my outdoor grill after to moving to my new location in a different state. I did not want to bother with an outdoor grill again and bought Zojirushi indoor grill. So far I have been very happy with the performance of the unit. I have cooked everything from bacon to lamb shish kabobs on it with excellent reaults. The cast grill distributes heat evenly and holds heat when food is added. I would recommend this unit to anyone who does not want to put up with an outdoor grill.Customer Review: SOOOO much better than a broiler or skillet for steaks!

I never knew what I was missing until I decided to take a chance on the unheard of Zojirushi grill. I had moved into an apt. that did not allow outside grills and this brand "sounded" perfect. AND it was and IS PERFECT. After 3 years it works and wipes cleans as well as the first time I used it. The expense threw me at first since I was in the process of moving, but the price is well worth it. Buy one if you are debating. Would make an excellent shower gift.Customer Review: just awsome

I have bought many things off amazon and have been generally happy, althought i never wrote a review for anything. However this machine deserves a review. Simply put this thing is awsome. I have used it for chicken steaks and fish and everytime it does a great job. the food comes out so good. i highly recomend it.
the only problem with it is the base could of been made out of some metal instead of plastic.
best indoor grill.

Used this for a while when living in an apartment without direct access to an outdoor grill. It really isn't hot enough for what you usually want a grill for, it doesn't heat evenly in my experience, and it is really only good for very small amounts of food at a time or it just can't recover from the heat loss when you initially put food on the grill. All that said, I did use it a fair amount when I needed it, but only because it was better than nothing.
