I bought this one after my off-brand water boiler died after 3 years. This brand is more expensive, but better made and should last longer. No complaints after almost a year. I keep it at 175 most times. Keep it hotter if you want to make tea or coffee. I have no use for the 140 setting.Customer Review: a must for new moms!

Our previous water boiler was a Panasonic, and it required constant cleaning and repair.
This Zojirushi boiler is in a different league. Very high quality, and has been in constant trouble free use for a couple of months.
An excellent product and well worth the cost.

It would be nice if it had a clock I could set, so it would turn itself off over night and back on in the morning. But it do'es have a sleep button that will shut it down for up to ten hours. If I can only remember to do-it.
Otherwise we're very happy with it.

My old "stainless steel interior" one started to rust and dispensed orange-colored water after one year of use. The Zojirushi has a coated lining that so far has not given me any trouble. Also the variable temperature setting is of great help.
