Customer Review: Sweet Sugar Dispenser

As someone who has despaired of ever finding a sugar dispenser that works properly, I am happy to report that the Zevro seems up to the task.
I have tried the classic diner-style round glass and chrome containers with the flap opening at top; the openings clog easily, and one has to shake and shake to pour the sugar. And then, you have to use a spoon to measure how much you're pouring.
I last tried the Sugar Please dispenser which promised (and failed) to dispense precise portions of sugar. It was clunky in use and busted after about a year on the job.
In comparison, this Zevro quickly, easily, and consistently dispenses precise portions. It's easy to fill compared to the Sugar Please (once you have mastered the somewhat counterintuitive method of removing the top -- you pull it off by the shorter sides, not the longer tabs, as you would expect). And it allows you to pour sugar the traditional way, through large and small openings on the top, if you prefer that method (or need to pour a concentrated stream of sugar into a measuring spoon for a recipe).
We'll see how well this unit holds up over time. It was a little tricky getting the hang of adjusting the portion amount (you have to remove and replace a measuring tray inside the unit after unlocking and removing the squeeze handle). Just follow the directions carefully, however, and you'll prevail; Zevro also gives you an 800 number to call if you need someone to walk you through the procedure.
Otherwise the Zevro has a compact footprint on your counter, and the squeeze handle works smoothly (as opposed to the crunchy, hard-to-push action of the button on the Sugar Please).
Overall I consider the Zevro a mighty sweet solution.
