I have tried a number of different battery-powered booklights and they all go through batteries in about 5 minutes. This light can be purchased with an AC adapter, eliminating the need to constantly replace batteries. It is bright enough to clearly illuminate the pages of your book, stays where it's clipped and reasonably adjustable. I love it!Customer Review: Serves my purpose

I purchased the "itty bitty" book light for reading in restaurants during business travel. It's functional and is easy to carry. My only complaint is I wish it cast a slightly larger area of light so I wasn't adjusting the angle of the book as I read down the page. Reading by this light certainly beats simply waiting for one's meal to arrive.Customer Review: Lasted only months, not years

I bought this book light in February 2006 and immediately liked it. Unfortunately, the light died after just 3 months. I contacted Zelco, sent in my dead book light, and received a replacement. The second one lasted 7 months, then it gave up the ghost, too. So much for the promise of 100,000 hours of use! I do NOT recommend this book light.Customer Review: Fantastic Item

I've tried different brands of booklights, and this is by far the best.
Can be adjusted to many positions with just a touch.
I've had this for a year or two, and batteries last many hours.
Plan to order a set of bulbs, just in case these "finally" fail.
Well worth the price.

I've owned this book light for a couple of months of very undemanding use, i.e., 1-2 hours per session, 3 or 4 times a week. The light is strong enough for comfortable reading, but without producing any heat or waking my companions. I wish I had bought one of these long ago....
