This small book light does everything it says it will. Unfortunately it does quite a bit more than that. The light source comes from two LEDs which emit about twice as much light as my wife's incandescent bedside table lamp does. One major selling point of a book light is that a person can stay up in bed reading while that person's bedmate sleeps without the distraction of light in their face. Unfortunately, this light brings a gun to the knife fight and renders itself pointless for our needs.Customer Review: Lasted two nights...

I've tried MANY book lights over the years and been mostly disappointed. I thought I would try this one, the advertised --you never have to change the lightbulb-- hooked me. I'm sorry I wasted my money. The LED light bulbs cast an awful bluish light that is very annoying and hard on the eyes. The construction is poor, the arm extends to 90 degrees and no more. By day two my son had broken the arm trying to open it. I'm done with the Zelco products, Volume 2 was OK, but it had it's issues too.Customer Review: insomnia

For those of you who read in bed and do not want to wake your partner, this is the item. This is my third Itty bitty, the second LED. The battery lasts about 2 month of 2 hours nightly, the LED is bright enough to use as a flashlight if necessary, it is flexible enough that it never shines in your eyes, and the clip serves as a good bookmark. The light is not as heavy as many others so it does not cause strain.Customer Review: Terrible product

Having owned and loved the original itty bitty book light I purchased this model with the adapter with no hesitation. What a disappointment. The first one arrived and I had to send it back immediately as it just plain did not work. The second one arrived and worked fine for a couple of months and now the light flickers constantly. Tell me that isn't irritating. Don't waste your money on this product.Customer Review: Absolutely great

I have a number of booklites, different vendors, different styles, some AC adapter, some straight battery, cheap to higher prices, and this one is the best, the brightest, the one I will most often use. It is connected to adapter and kept near computerat all times. I am careful with such items, don't expect any problems, most booklites are not meant to be manhandled.
