These colorful and furry little mice are great for cats that enjoy chasing small toys. They are treated with catnip, but to be honest, I don't think my cat knows the difference. Unlike their Zanies Furry Mice counterparts, Zanies Rainbow Mice also rattle, since they have tiny pebbles inside them. A word of caution about this though: the pebbles are encased inside a semi-rigid plastic cartridge (which makes up the body of the mouse). The furry fabric is simply wrapped around this plastic piece and glued. After my cat played with one of the mice, the fabric unglued itself and the plastic was exposed. Since there are pebbles inside, unsupervised play might not be very safe. It's best to regularly check the condition of the mice after the cats play with them. Other than that, these are great toys and the price/quantity/quality ratio is pretty good. Quantity is important here, because, due to their small size, most mice will most likely end up lost behind some piece of furniture. Since you get 60 mice in this package, you can just keep replacing the ones that go missing in action. In the long run, it's a lot cheaper than buying them individually.Customer Review: animals suffer a brutal death for these!

Shame on amazon for selling toys made with real fur that comes from China! Please everyone read about the dog and cat fur
trade in China. It is BIG BUSINESS. They cruelly and horrifically kill millions of domestic cats and dogs each year and sell them in the form
of toys for cats, kids, trims on coats, gloves, shoes. They do not say what kind of fur it is (not that any kind is better than another) The truth
is your cat is playing with the fur of another cat or dog. This is sick. They actually skin the animals alive! They are very cruel in what they do. Anyone can simply go on line and read and see videos about the dog and cat fur trade in China. Plese do not buy these toys. There are plenty of adorable toys that are not made from
animals suffering. My cats favorite are the sparkle POM POMS. Try them They are cheap to buy and cats go crazy for them.
I hate to check one star in order to write this review. One star for shame!
Customer Review: Best cat toy I've found, my kitten just loves them

My vet (a true cat person) gave me one of these mice when I took my kitten in for her first check up. When we got home I put it on the floor and Molly (our kitten) and the toy were literally "off to the races". Now she even brings one of the mice to me when I'm watching TV and wants me to throw it for her to "fetch" (I had no idea cats enjoyed playing fetch too).
A couple of days before we picked up our new kitten at the shelter I got online with Amazon and ordered several cat toys based on the various reviews. I assumed that the catnip ones would be best only to find out kittens aren't into catnip until they get about 9 months old or so I've read. All of the other cat toys I ordered, including some fairly expensive ones are getting very little playtime but Molly truly LOVES(!!!) these mice. And hey, you get 60 in a box what more can you ask for? Don't look any further, just buy a box of these mice and get ready for your cat start playing.

I have never seen a more universally-adored cat toy than Zanies. Every cat I know absolutely LOVES these brightly colored mice. I have to keep a supply of these furry mice on hand for my cat. I dole them out to her. She usually gets the tail off shortly after I give her a new one, and then walks around with the tailless mouse in her mouth. She drops the mouse into her food dish (dry food) so she can eat, and then collects it again when she's done. These are a little larger than the black/ white/ grey versions. My friend and my sister both give these mice to their cats as well, and they are also their favorite toys. I often wake up with one of these mice in my bed. Every week or so, I pull out the stove and the sofa to collect mice. They go back in the drawer for rotation when the cat loses her mouse of the day.Customer Review: Awesome Toys!

These little mice are great!! My two cats absolutely LOVE them. They love playing fetch with them or just batting them around and stalking them. I would recommend getting these rattling ones over the regular grey, white, and black ones because the bodies on these rainbow ones are made out of plastic instead of cardboard. With the cardboard ones, once my cats chewed at them for a while they'd get to the cardboard body and would shred it all over the carpet. No problem with the plastic ones and they are a lot easier to spot. Plus the rattling is super fun too. Also, this is a great price as they are usually close to a dollar a peice at a pet store and having a large quantity on hand is great for when you end up with an infestation of little rainbow mice under your oven and fridge!
