I purchased two of these containers after reading the reviews. They arrived and one had a broken lid. I did a return via amazon and they replaced and shipped a replacemment at no cost to me.
I did not have any issues with opening the tubs straight from the freezer. They opened really easily. I did, however, not fill the tubs all the way. I wiped the inside of the tub where the lid screws on to ensure there was no ice cream obstructing the lid. I tightened the lid and then unscrewed it about a turn. NO problems unsecrewing lid when removed from freezer. Stays frozen and cold for hours when being transported ( packed in cooler), even in hot australian weather. Highly recommended. Will buy more if needed
