This knife is solid, sturdy, and very very sharp. It has cut through anything I've tried it on, slicing cleanly through tomato skins, cutting the ends off mushrooms, and mincing garlic and herbs. The handle is easy to grip, and the balance makes the knife easy to use.

This is the best knife in my kitchen, and I look forward to getting a longer blade from the same series.

The compact size, pointed tip and ultra-fine edge of this 3-1/2-inch knife makes it the ideal tool for trimming fruits and vegetables. An essential for the well-stocked kitchen, it?s crucial for hand-held tasks like deveining peppers or peeling potatoes. Like the rest of the Grand Prix2 line, this knife is safe in the dishwasher, but hand wash for best results.

Grand Prix2 knives offer a compelling blend of precision, comfort, and legendary Wüsthof quality. Like the Grand Prix line, Grand Prix2 boasts a high-performance handle and a sleek contemporary look, with the addition of a more rolling, rounded profile that fits beautifully into the pocket of the palm. Molded ergonomically designed handles are pebble-textured for slip resistance even when wet, then permanently bonded to the entire tang for a superbly balanced feel. Blade, bolster, and tang are precision-forged from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel for the ultimate in strength and durability. A computer-controlled process grinds and polishes the blade so it?s perfectly tapered from back to edge and tip to handle. The edge is then twice honed by hand and finally laser-tested for long-lasting sharpness. Grand Prix2 cutlery is made in Germany and carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Mary Park
