Customer Review: This unit is inaccurate and dangerous

Bought this unit as replacement for Lumiscope Finger monitor which is 10 years old and simply worn out but still providing accurate readings. Out of the box this unit gave readings that were 25% higher than those provided by the Lumiscope finger monitor and and a professional grade cuff monitor. This unit caused me to go back on BP medication I didn't really need. I suspect there are accurate models of this unit but I'd look for another brand if you don't want to go through the return hassle trying to find an accurate one. Positives: Inexpensive and easy to use but so is the Lumiscope finger monitor which appears to be no longer available.
