Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of World Cuisine Silicone Nonstick 16-3/8-by-11-5/8-Inch Baking Mat

Customer Review: No more sticking food!
Summary: 5 Stars

This cooking mat works great. I have used it on three of four different things without any of them sticking. I didn't notice a hot rubber smell when baking or a funny taste on the food. I did wash with soap once and when it was in the oven I could smell the soap when I opened the door I could also smell the soap on the food but couldn't taste it. After that I have just been rinsing and scrubbing with a paper towel. You may want to get more than one for different types of food. Not sure if it will hold up to 3000 uses but it seems like it will last long enough for the price.

Customer Review: Works as advertised, great gifts for folks that burn their cookies!
Summary: 5 Stars

This sheet works very well and makes it difficult to burn cookies, pizza, etc. Everything we've baked on it has come out wonderfully. Even a few cookies I forgot about.

Common sense would tell you to slide the pizza off the sheet onto a cutting board before you hack away.

Also, I've seen the sheets at Crate&Barrel and they're made in China as well.. so not sure why people are so vocal about that.

I've bought a few of these as gifts for folks that I know burn their stuff and I don't want to come over and eat burnt biscuits.

Customer Review: Perfect for rolling dough
Summary: 5 Stars

Sure, it's great for baking. Needs no grease and nothing sticks to it. But I like to use mine for rolling out bread and roll dough. When you make a soft dough, sometimes you have to use more flour than you'd like to get it to roll out and not stick. Not so if you use this mat. The stickiest dough pulls right off, even shortening rich pie crust dough. Let's say you melt chocolate almond bark to make candy. Mix in the nuts or crushed peppermint and pour it right on the mat. After cooling you can pop it off with your fingers. Excellent cooking invention.

Customer Review: It works I think
Summary: 5 Stars

I purchased a few of these during the 3 for 2 or 4 for 3 promotion (I dunno I just spend money). They're nice and thin and work for what they are. I cooked a pizza the other day and used it for a mat to put it down on while I cut the pizza. I don't know if it's really advisable to cut things on it but the packaging said it can't be cut since it's fiberglass and silicone. It worked for cutting on but I'm sure the counter top got scratched but hey what do I care - I'm only renting right? Anyways - 5 thumbs up. Maybe I'll try cooking with it next.

Customer Review: Those makes baking cookies a breeze!
Summary: 5 Stars

I love baking cookies, and my main problem was that my cookies was always sticking the pain, or making the pans hard to clean after a batch...

Not anymore. This mat works like a charm. Makes it just so easy. Put the mat on the cookie sheet, put batter, cook, take off cookie with spatula, and repeat. No mess, just clean the mat with hot water and a little soap afterwords and you are good to go.

I have two of those and use them all the time for baking. A definitly must for cookie baking.
