This is well designed, sturdy, easy to use, and gives magnificent results. It's a must for any raw foodie and anyone looking to add variety when eating their vegetables (like myself). It's not just for squash either, I've never had such an easy time slicing an onion! The small "noodle" blade worked so well on cucumber that my carb-loving husband said he didn't need to have pasta anymore! Zuchinni noodles with meat sauce, a creative Greek salad on a bed of spiraled cucumbers, cinnamon sugar apple strands... the list goes on!Customer Review: Perfect for veggie spaghetti

I bought this after I returned the Saladacco. I was looking for something to make zucchini spaghetti and this is it! Easy to use and clean and the spaghetti is firm. The Saladacco creates fine garnish type shreds out of carrots but makes a mess out of soft veggies/fruits like zucchini and apples. This has suction cups to keep it from sliding. Requires a little pressure to be applied as you shred but definitely not as arm twisting as the Saladacco. This will not make angel hair pasta since the cutters are not that small.Customer Review: Good for the price

I share the same opinion about the lack of instructions. I have used it once with zucchini and carrots and I did not know how to use it but I learned as I went. I could not understand why did it leave a huge chunk with a round sick at the end, but it is no biggie since I can chop it up an use it for stock or another salad.
For a plastic gadget is is pretty sturdy and easy to clean.
four stars for the lack of instructions and the flaw of leaving out the chunk of vegetable at the end.

I eat a mostly plant based diet and would be lost without this slicer.... My favorite use for it is zucchini spaghetti.... Two zucchini make a large bowl of pasta. I then put sun dried tomatoes and fresh tomatoes in the vita mix with olive oil, basil and garlic....blend and pour over the pasta... I usually warm it to about 110 degrees and serve with a salad that is beautifully sliced with my slicer.... If you are not vegan, you can top your pasta with parmasan or use vegan parmasan if you are like me.... Love it!!!Customer Review: Spiral cutter is sturdy.

Cuts well, comes with 3 blades, takes seconds to clean. Cutting the spirals after with kitchen shears works better than the recommended slicing vegetable before spiral cutting. Machine fairly sturdy. Surpised at how well sweet potatoes apples and beets go together with Newman's Own lime salad dressing. Core apples and pears before cutting. Carrots are almost too small.
Love it, use it frequently. Great for RAW.
If this one breaks might actually think about getting the $300 all metal version.
