Wilton Armetale, a family owned business through three generations has been delighting customers with the functionality and artistic design of our product. Made with food-safe Armetale Metal, the product will not rust, tarnish, crack, chip, or dent under normal use. This design is a reproduction and adaptation of an 1821 candlestick base designed by Mr Karl Friedrich Schinkel of the Prussian Empire. The design incorporates Greek, Gothic and Roman influences into a grand style that is intended to dazzle with boldness and beauty to express the harmony possible between art and technology, ancient and contemporary. Slightly more formal than many of the other patterns by Wilton Armetale, the classically sculpted effect is adaptable to accessorize a wide variety of classical home decorations and dinnerware patterns. The placement of the elements together directs the eye in a relaxed glance around the smooth center while mirroring itself and objects placed on the highly polished piece. The overall effect combines traditional shapes and elements with a sparkling 21st century interpretation. Its refined classical elegance is unparalleled in today's casual environment, yet is made so practical with Wilton Armetale.Since 1892, Wilton Armetale has constructed unique serving pieces in silver and pewter, gracefully combining beauty and durability. Individually handcrafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, no two pieces are exactly alike. Non-toxic metal ensures the safety of all food items, and effectively keeps a side dish or main course at the desired temperature. Wilton Armetale guarantees that under normal circumstances, serveware pieces will not rust, tarnish, crack, chip, or dent.
Modeled on a candlestick base designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in 1821, the Wilton Armetale flutes and pearls design is reminiscent of an earlier era. Graceful flutes and sculpted beads resembling pearls add elegance to the table and the entire set complements other tableware pieces in the same pattern. This 4-piece hostess set includes a 5-1/2- by 8-1/4- by 3-3/4-inch butter dish with lid, an 8- by 3-3/4- by 4-inch gravy boat, and a 7-3/4- by 9-3/4-inch oval bread tray.
