Customer Review: Another metal product MADE IN CHINA

I just received this gravy boat and was dismayed to see a "Made in China" label. The company is supposedly a family-owned business in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania with a reputation for quality goods produced locally. I am a fan of Wilton Armetale products and appreciate the overall quality of their serveware in general, however, considering the questionable metal content of China-produced kitchenware (lead, cadmium, etc.), I cannot recommend this item. China is consistently exporting toxic substances on dishes and the like. As a result, I refuse to expose my family to any more potential health hazards via China's subpar production standards.
The only Armetale items I will purchase in the future will be made in the USA.
Description of Wilton Armetale Flutes and Pearls Gravy Boat with Tray
Wilton Armetale Serveware. "Cooks Hot. Serves Hot. Stays Hot." Made with Armetale metal, the product will not rust, tarnish, crack, chip, or dent. Armetale serveware is food safe and can be used on the stove or in the oven. This design is a reproduction and adaptation of an 1821 candlestick base designed by Mr Karl Friedrich Schinkel of the Prussian Empire. The design incorporates Greek, Gothic and Roman influences into a grand style that is intended to dazzle with boldness and beauty to express the harmony possible between art and technology, ancient and contemporary. Slightly more formal than many of the other patterns by Wilton Armetale, the classically sculpted effect is adaptable to accessorize a wide variety of Classical home decorations and dinnerware patterns. The placement of the elements together directs the eye in a relaxed glance around the smooth center while mirroring itself and objects placed on the highly polished piece. The overall effect combines traditional shapes and elements with a sparkling 21st century interpretation. Its refined classical elegance is unparalleled in today's casual environment, yet is made so practical with Wilton Armetale.Since 1892, Wilton Armetale has constructed unique serving pieces in silver and pewter, gracefully combining beauty and durability. Individually handcrafted in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, no two pieces are exactly alike. Non-toxic metal ensures the safety of all food items, and effectively keeps a side dish or main course at the desired temperature. Wilton Armetale guarantees that under normal circumstances, serveware pieces will not rust, tarnish, crack, chip, or dent.
Modeled on a candlestick base designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in 1821, the Wilton Armetale flutes and pearls design is reminiscent of an earlier era. Graceful flutes give depth to the highly polished gravy boat tray, while sculpted beads resembling pearls trim the outer edge. A smooth design, with no decorative elements, gives the gravy boat a sophisticated simplicity and allows it to be used with other Wilton Armetale patterns. The tray measures 6-1/4 by 9-1/4 inches, while the gravy boat measures 8 inches from handle to spout, 3-3/4 inches wide, and stands 4-inches high.
