Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Wilton 2105-5038 Giant Cupcake Pan

Customer Review: Great little investment!
Summary: 5 Stars

I got so many compliments when I made my son's cupcake tree with this at the very top! I am domestically challenged so I was a bit nervous so I did it the night before just in case it didnt come out right but it did! Everyone asked me if I ordered it from a bakery. :) I did have to cut some of the top off the base part of the cubcake because it had risen too much and wasn't cooking thoroughly, but I know for next time to not fill that side up so much. I am going to be using it again this week for my other son's bday and I am sure I will get much use out of it! There are cheaper ones out there but this one is excellent quality for long term usage!

Customer Review: Wilton giant cupcake pan
Summary: 5 Stars

Before I bought this pan I read the reviews. Many gave it bad reviews because they stated the top cooks before the bottom. I DIDN'T have any of these problems. I made a practice cupcake before my daughter's first birthday. This is what I did...It takes about 1 1/2 boxes store bought cake mix. I filled the pan about 3/4 of the way. When I baked it (due to all the reviews)I placed the top part of the cupcake pan in a round cake pan filled with a little bit of water. Both sides cooked evenly and quickly. I used an oil spray with flour in it. The cupcake halves released with no problem. I bought huge sprinkles at Michael's and Wal-Mart.

Customer Review: Wish Wilton would treak this pan and re-release it
Summary: 4 Stars

Everyone else's review is spot on - the pan is cute and easy to use, but you need to bake the "bottom" half about 10 minutes longer than the "top" half. I hope Wilton reads all of these reviews and considers splitting this pan into two pans so that you aren't pouring batter into a hot pan when starting the second half. I found that the second half didn't rise as well because of this, so fill it a bit closer to the top than the "bottom" half. You may end up trimming more "dome", but if it doesn't rise all the way up the sides you won't have the bottom part of the "swirl". I got one cake plus 12 cupcakes out of 2 box mixes.

Customer Review: Biggest Cupcake
Summary: 5 Stars

My granddaughter was having a party for her first birthday and my daughter wanted a cupcake theme. She came across this cake mold on Amazon and it was perfect. Before purchasing I read the previous reviews and baking hints and it sounded easy. My daughter and I performed a "trial run" a few days before the event to make sure we baked the perfect cake. After tweaking some of the suggestions, we baked it again the night before the party and it came out fabulous! It was easy and fun and we would recommend this cake mold for even those who do not consider themselves savvy in the kitchen.

Customer Review: IT IS NOT A GIANT CUPCAKE
Summary: 2 Stars

This is OKAY but NOT wonderful at all! Have tons of Wilton stuff but was disappointed at the price for how inefficient it is. The TOP is overdone and the bottom of the "GIANT" cupcake isn't done. I have manipulated it several ways. It is a cute as can be idea; need to be separate pans. SHALL I CUT IT IN HALF?
I'm interested in other comments ... Thanks * I'm keeping it but my last venture was twins bday's .. Cooked two tops and then cooked two bottoms! If I didn't lovem' I wouldn't take the time. Then I had MINI cupcakes too ... OK ... your turn!
