Customer Review: Wanted Hamburger Press, Got Hamburger Press

This think doesn't shop for you, balance the checkbook, cook dinner, or light the grill. It presses ground meat into a round shape. Luckily, that's what I bought it to do, so things worked out well. Point being, it's a simple piece of equipment designed to do a simple task, it did exactly that task, and did it pretty well.
My method: I use the pre-cut hamburger paper squares. I place one of the sheets on my raw meat cutting board, put the ball of meat on it, add another sheet of pre-cut paper, cover with the hamburger press, and mash (technical term) it down. On the first two or three I was pressing down much harder than necessary; it really doesn't take much force.
I did take one star off because you do have to hold the outer ring down when you press down or it will push the meat out around the bottom; little detail, but something the hinged units with a base and press probably don't have a problem with.
Comes apart for easy clean-up. We made and grilled some thirty or so hamburger patties, ate some for dinner and vacuum-sealed the remaining for a quick burger on a busy night.
