Customer Review: Coating Flaking Off -- Westmark Replaced!

I purchased this egg slicer within the last 5 years after reading a favorable review. It works great, is very heavy duty, and I have used it regularly to slice olives and mushrooms, as well as eggs. However, the coating is now flaking off, and I'm looking for a stainless steel one to replace it.
August 9, 2010 -- Update
After writing the above review, I contacted Westmark by e-mail, including photos of the coating flaking off, and explaining that I no longer had any proof of purchase. To my delight, Westmark shipped a new slicer to me, no questions asked! So, I am changing my rating to 4 stars, only because I still think a stainless steel base with the same quality of stainlees steel wires would be ideal. This is a very sturdy egg slicer. I recommend hand washing it. It has a 5 year warranty.
