Customer Review: Looks Cheap, Is Cheap

My college roommate has this very same microwave. If you are looking for something small, you found it. However, that's about all it has going for it.
**It took over two and a half minutes to heat a cup of water to make cocoa or coffee [at my college we're not allowed to have coffee makers, so instant is the standard]. That's ridiculous.
**The same would go for pizza. If I wanted to reheat a slice in the microwave, it wouldn't even be WARM at the 1 minute mark. Most microwaves would kill a piece of pizza after 45 seconds.
**Although this isn't a huge factor, the microwave clock was slow. We'd set it one day, and by the following day, it would be over 10 minutes behind. I found this to be annoying more than anything.
**The buttons for heating were v. noisy, too, which is a drawback if you want to heat up coffee or breakfast before your roommate gets up in the morning.
All in all, if you have a v. small space and don't mind waiting 2 1/2 minutes for a cup of joe, this is the microwave for you. But if you pay about $10-20 more, you can get something slightly bigger that will work much more efficiently. I wouldn't recommend this 700 watt microwave.
