i bought one of these a couple of years ago on amazon and after using it a couple of times decided to send one to every one of my popcorn loving friends. they all loved it! it is the easiest and most healthful way to make and eat popcorn. the person who complained of her husband's blood pressure going up obviously was putting on too much salt. the whole purpose of a hot air popper is to eliminate the need for butter/oil and other unhealthy aspects of traditional popcorn. i put a mix of dry spices on the corn before i pop it. it's wonderful.
you can add all the junk you want to it if you absolutely have to but my advice is to try it my way first. i eat a bowl almost every day. the popper has stayed in perfect working order all this time. the only advice on care that i would give is to lay the lid down on a flat surface when you take it off, otherwise it has a tendency to get a little misshapen. the lid doesn't really fit properly anyway and don't worry about that part. just put it on reasonably even and pop away.
i don't know why i didn't review this product before but since i'm going to order more today, i wanted to talk it up to anyone looking for a good and simple popper.
