I bought a slow cooker exactly like this one 15 years ago and now that my daughter is grown, she wanted one too. I looked in stores everywhere. Finally, found what I wanted on Amazon. The price was much better than buying it from West Bend and the service was excellent! Had the product in two days. This is a great cooker. Easy to handle and just the right size for family meals. Superb product. This is an newer model of a West Bend slow cooker that I had used for years to slow cook roasts. It is slightly larger than the older model and is greatly improved by having a glass lid. It is my favorite cooking utensil.
The product arrived 2 days after I ordered it-a week earlier than promised. The product was in perfect condition.
This was an excellent experience for my first time shopping with Amazon.

I am still trying to figure out the right temperatures
to properly cook roasts. Even when I cook it on the lowest setting
of 3 my meat comes out to dry.
Crock-pots seem to cook roasts perfectly
where as the West Bend slow cooker dries the meat out.
Easy to clean, perfect size and light weight.
I would give it a 5 if I can figure out how not to
dry out my meat.

This slow cooker is great! For some time I considered getting a crockpot and after doing some searches found the West Bend slow cooker.
It has changed the way I cook. I now make fantastic pot roasts and chicken recipes. Much lighter than a crockpot and very easy to clean. I like the fully adjustable temperature setting. It looks good too - I keep it out on the counter. Don't know how I managed before without it!

A very good slow cooker. I bought it specifically because the cook pot is completely separate as it's just a pot that sits on the top of the heating element. Very easy to clean. The pot isn't near as heavy as my original that I had twenty years ago. The book says the element can be used as a grill but I tried to cook an egg on it and it took a very long time to heat up enough. I'm very pleased with my slow cooker.
