If you need a electric can opener this is the one to get...I have had this can opener over 12 weeks now and have never had a problem with it...it will open up the big 26oz cans too...I got RA over the summer and needed to get a can opener...after reading many reviews on all types of can openers I went with this one and I love it...Oh and it is easy to use and it looks nice as well...My Grandma has RA too so we got her one and she was on cloud 9 after using this can opener...I spent so much money on 3 other BAD can openers before I got this..SO believe me when I say this is the only can opener you will need...Customer Review: An example of EXCELLENT product design! This 'West Bend' can opener is a joy to use and behold. It is a prime example of affordability meets high function and form. It is very simple to use, and due to its slight tallness, will handle cans of virtually all sizes. And best of all, it will hold the can in place once it is open, and does not spill any contents. The opener looks and feels like a more expensive product, and definitely outperforms many 'higher end' can openers that cost 2 or 3 times as much! Because I am so satisfied with it, I will look at other 'West Bend' products for my kitchen. Buy with confidence!Customer Review: I am "in love" with this product!

What a joy to have a electric can opener that works! My last was a Proctor Silex, and after minimal usage, just stopped working. Not that it ever worked that well. The handle would fall off easily, and toward the end, would never cut open all the way around the top. This West Bend opener is the complete opposite. I was used to having to stand and help it along. This one just goes as smooth as can be, and easy to place can. I can walk away! Only problem is that it shreds the paper sometimes on the can, but I can live with it. The West Bend Electric Can Opener was a replacement for my stylish Cuisinart Can Opener. I would Absolutely recommend it because it is sturdy and very easy to use. No more label peeling off as the opener moves around the can. I can open large cans of tomatoes for sauce and the opener doesn't tilt over. Also, it's very quiet compared to other openers. I was at my brother's home the other day and used their opener and was surprised how cheap and loud their product was. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and would recommend it.Customer Review: Excellent..Just as what the other reviews state...A+++

Not sure if I should spend a lot of time bragging about a simple can opener. In short, this unit is very easy to use,good for tall cans, short cans and does an excellent job. Its easy to clean since its detachable, looks beautiful(Metallic), functional since the chord can be stored in the unit. Overall engineered well, planned well, esthetically pleasing and practical. Now how many products can we brag that's well rounded. Just one shortfall. Its made in China. Make it in the US and well all have one grand can opener to be proud of..:0)
