Customer Review: Does not get hot enough

After reading the many raving reviews, I was pumped up over the purchase of this grill. I'm pretty much a carnivore and eat a lot of meat. I recently bought a West Bend rotisserie oven and it works great, and I've been using it a lot, so I went with the West Bend brand again.
But I just returned the second unit (I returned the first one for an exchange) after a miserable experience of 50 minutes on High with a couple of brats, and they weren't very well done. Forget about ever searing a steak, or even fast cooking it at medium high. Maybe I got 2 defective units in a row, but I'm done with this West Bend 'grill'. Those that like a nice hot grill be forewarned.

This is a decent indoor grill. I bought it mainly for the lid and I like that it helps keep the heat even and cooks the food quicker. So that was the draw for me and it works the way I expected. The only problem I really have is that the lid doesn't fit in the tracks very deep - it slides quite easily when putting it back on over the food. Also, the lid isn't very 'deep' so if you have a really thick cut of steak - like a thick filet for instance, the lid won't allow for the larger cut and it just sits on top of the meat, smashing it so to speak.
But for the main stuff that I will grill on it, it works great and cooks quickly and evenly so for that I'll keep it.

This grill is great! It's easy to set up, easy to use, and easy to clean. Most of all the food turns out delicious! I grill chicken, steaks, fish and vegetables. You even get the grill marks on all of the food, and the food does not stick to the grill. You don't even have to put any cooking spray on it because you fill the bottom pan that comes with the grill with water. I had been using different George Forman grills for years, and now I'm kicking myself for not getting this grill sooner! To me this is a real indoor grill that actually gives food a great grilled flavor. For anyone who is considering buying this grill, you will not be disappointed!Customer Review: Pretty Good

I really like this grill. My husband and I got this grill to try to eat healthier but it gave us so much more. My husband doesnt know how to cook but with this grill it gave him the confidence to try. Now he's not just cooking but trying different things like spices and oils. I have to admit he's got pretty good. Only fall back for me is that we dont have a dish washer and cleaning is time consuming but I did learn that if you put it in really hot soapy water that it makes it a bit easier to clean. Also I thought maybe it would make the food taste like an outside grill and it doesn't but the food is still really good. I would highly recommend this grill.Customer Review: Great Grill.

I love this grill. I use it all the time. It cooks fast and the food taste wonderful. It's easy to clean and doesn't smoke so you can cook indoors without any problems. Its so easy to use. The only suggestion for improvement would be the glass lid. It doesn't exactly lay ontop of the grill snug. You still can grill and steam vegetables with using the lid but the grill doesn't really have groves for the lid to sit in.. So you have to shift it around a little to make sure you lay it properly.... That's the only thing I would improve on this grill.......Overall, I am very very satisfied with it and feel that I got a very good deal.
