I bought the Sanyo 200 inē knowing it had no top. When I realized I needed one I snapped this puppy up at a short-lived $45. Who needs an indoor grill that splatters? I may as well use the grill plate that covers 2 burners (now relegated to an outdoor 2-burner gas stove and a 2-burner electric plate used on the patio). Cooking for one most of the time the smaller grilling space wasn't an issue. But keeping the food covered with a see-thru top is, tho this one isn't a tight fit and must be carefully placed. But buying a heat-keeping aluminum baking pan to cover the Sanyo would've been cost-prohibitive. Plus the flat edge is handy for non-meat foods. No smoke, little odor, easy enough to clean- so what's not to like? Yeah, well it takes up space & I can't park stuff on it when not in use like the Sanyo, but so what? The Sanyo I'll give away.Customer Review: Wonderful grill

This is the first time I have ever written a review, but I felt compelled to write one since I love this grill! Although I read many positive reviews on this product, I also saw a fair number of negative reviews. After using this grill, I just can't understand where the negative comments come from. The 6111 grill is wonderful! Thus far I have used it mainly for grilling meat. The meat is moist, tender and even has the grill markings on it. The clean up is smooth using just warm water, dish soap and scrubbing sponge. Many people complained that the clean up was difficult and time consuming. That couldn't be further from the truth!
In addition to the great price and free shipping from Amazon, this indoor grill is an all around fantastic product.

This is a fantastic grill, but I had a shipping problem. I bought this for my husband as a Christmas present, but it arrived without the gift wrap that I ordered. The grill arrived while I was away from home with "West Bend Indoor Grill" written in large letters on the side of the box. Needless to say, the Christmas surprise was ruined. I am still giving the grill 4 stars because it has been such a great addition to our kitchen, and my husband loves using it. So far, he has used the grill to cook bacon, sausages, eggs, pancakes, salmon, and lots of assorted grilled vegetables. So far, everything has been easy to prepare, and it all tastes fabulous. Keep in mind that it is a large grill, but its definately worth using the counter space.Customer Review: West Bend elec grill

This grill works beautifully for both chicken, meat and even vegetables by cooking the food fairly fast when the lid is on. It leaves nice grill marks as on a outdoor barbeque grill but without the smokey flavor. When used indoors it does create smoke but if used near an open window the smoke is not that bad. The clean up is easy as there are only three parts to clean--the lid, the grill and the pan collecting the fat and juices. This grill with its lid is a great feature and is a good size holding two large steaks. I'm glad I bought it and recommend it. I purchased this grill because during the winter months I love to grill food but hate doing it outside in the cold. I have a George Foreman grill but I hate it - it's so difficult to clean up and the food gets done on the outside before it's done on the inside. I was looking for something to use indoors that would cook the same as my large outdoor grill, and this grill does the trick. It is so easy to use and clean up. If you follow the directions it does exactly as it claims. It puts the grill marks on food, cooks it thoroughly and doesn't smoke. Great product! I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Finally a product that does what it claims. Bye bye George Foreman grill.....
