This blender is great. I like the design and simplicity. It seems durable and sturdy. I like how it only has two speeds and no buttons. What am I supposed to do with all those other speeds on blenders anyways? I've had this blender for 3 months now and works just as well as the day I got it. It pulverizes ice. No need adding juice to your smoothies to "help" the blender blend. Smoothies are so thick now I eat them with a spoon.
As others have mentioned, it screws on counter intuitively. Luckily there is a reminder arrow on the bottom so you get it on right. This also goes for locking the carafe onto the base. It locks the other way. Actually, there doesn't seem to be any "locking". You just place it on the base and gently turn it left.
There only seems to be one drawback I can find. If the blender is completely full with thick smoothie it has trouble pulling the top ingredients down. It just means I have to stir the top to help it get pulled down into the center. What this blender really needs is one of those lids with the plastic paddle that helps keep things moving. Or maybe just a wider stouter carafe.
