Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Waring MG-800 Pro Professional Meat Grinder, Brushed Stainless SteelCustomer Review: Great little machine but... Summary: 4 Stars
Recently purchased the MG-800 and started making sausage. The machine is easy to use and clean and does what it claims to do. Two issues I have found with it are:
1. Hopper sides are a bit low and the bottom is flat. This makes spillages a bit of a problem and working alone a bit more complex.
2. Machine could be heavier. I have managed to almost topple it a few times when using the meat pushing rod.
All in all a good purchase so far.
Customer Review: Thrilled with this product for grinding deer meat. Summary: 5 Stars
We are really happy with this meat grinder. We read the reviews and expected that it would not be quite as nice as advertised, but happily it turned out to be wonderful. I've processed four deer already and have had none of the problems that some of the other reviews have mentioned. I do store the blades in a bag of rice as suggested and completely clean and repackage everything after each use. Seems to be well made, haven't had to use the reverse feature at all.
Customer Review: Great Grinder! Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this grinder after alot of research between other brands. The grinder is heavy built. The hopper on top allows you plenty of room to put meat before grinding.I have used it to make stew and ground 40lbs of meat with no effort. This is a great product and easy to use but make sure to handwash the hopper, auger and the dies and blades. Just keep the cutting blades and dies oiled to keep from rusting. Great product just requires a little care.
Customer Review: Great Grinder! Summary: 5 Stars
This is a vast improvement over the grinder attachment to the Kitchen-Aid. Is it just me or is the quality of Kitchen-Aid slipping a bit? My mother-in-law had ONE for years and years. I am on my third...I am beginning to wonder...sorry this is supposed to be a review of the Waring Meat Grinder! It is great- does just what we wanted and it isn't any harder to clean than any other I've used, and I've had a few, including a couple in Europe.
Customer Review: Works great Summary: 5 Stars
We just bought the warring pro 800 this year. We have previously ground all our burger with a hand grinder and my arms would be wore out. Last year we processed 1 antelope 4 deer and 2 elk.
This year we processed 2 antelope 4 deer and 1 elk and what a difference. At first I didn't tighte up the front nut that holds the cutting plate in place and it didn't grind good but once I cranked down that nut it ground great.
