Of all the fry cookers offered, this one is the best in my opinion. Have had other Waring Pro products to date and keep buying due to their quality. One crazy design issue for me. This model DF250B a redesign from the previous D200 (I think) does not have an on/off switch. You must unplug the unit after use ??? I called Waring Pro to verify this and they confirmed it. I wired it to a power strip and just turn it off there. Great product other than that unusual design issue. Probably the best offered for the price, not to mention the Waring Pro quality. Hopefully the next redesign will have an on/off switch.Customer Review: So Far So Good

I bought this fryer to replace two other fryers of a different brand that had quit working at an early age. We have used this one half a dozen times already and everything has been perfect.The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that you have to be careful of what you set it on because it gets extremely hot on the bottom. I cook with mine on the stovetop so it really isn't a problem. We got this as a wedding present last fall, and have used it several times. It is a nice looking machine, and we haven't had any major problems with heating the oil as some have stated. It does run about 5 degrees cool, but not enough to affect the final product. It looks great, so we have used it for some parties, making deep fried cheese curds and onion rings. It cleans up beautifully, and is self contained so I can just throw it on the shelf without extra parts all over. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because I would have liked it to heat to 400 for chicken.Customer Review: Must Own Item...

I purchased the Waring Pro DF2508 Deep Fryer to replace an aging deep fryer that I have had for years. I could not be more delighted with the quality of this product. We use it for a lot of day to day items...such as making our own potato chips and tortilla chips. It heats up quickly and the oil temperature is maintained through out the cooking process. The clean up has been made very easy as well as the entire product can be taken apart and cleaning in a matter of minutes. If you are looking for a high end deep fryer I don't think you can go wrong with this one.Customer Review: Best deep fryer I've ever had

I've had a lot of deep fryers over the years but this is the best. This heats to 375 so when the frozen foods hit the oil it stays hot enough to fry them. The basket is large enough for out family. I use olive oil and try to get it strained about every fourth time I use it. Once the oil is strained I pour it back in the deep fryer and add about 1 cup of fresh oil to keep it filled to the max line. Cleaning it is a breeze. The heating element only heats on the top so the sediment that settles in the bottom does not burn.
