Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Walkfit Orthotic Size ACustomer Review: I can't believe all the bad reviews this product received Summary: 5 Stars
I bought walkfits from their website (big mistake) and waited for them for two months. When they arrived I wore them for about two weeks. I wasn't too excited and stopped wearing them. About two months later I injured both of my feet and couldn't walk. That's when I gave them a try (believing that there would be no help). To my amazement I was able to walk!!! In addition I was able to walk virtually pain free right from the start and after two weeks the pain was completely gone. Whenever I tried walking without the inserts I failed until about 6 weeks later when my feet healed. Later on my father got some kind of a virus that made his feet swollen and he couldn't walk either. I gave him my walkfits and he could walk. It was painful to him but at least he could walk and previously he could not. I am only 30 years old but ever since I was in a bad car accident 12 years ago I constantly had problems with my back and visits to a chiropractor are my daily bread. I have to see him every week or else the pain is unbearable. Once I started using walkfits I stopped seeing him. However, after I gave walkfits to my father, three weeks later I started experiencing back problems again. I am on this website to buy a pair for me, too. I can't compare these to any other because I only tried some cheap inserts a couple of years ago and since they didn't work I never tried any others again. I'm sure there's good inserts out there but this is what worked for me and my father perfectly. If you don't have any back problems then maybe you won't notice anything but for me these inserts are a miracle. I give a thousand thanks to this company for saving me from so much pain and saving me hundreds of dollars on chiropractor visits. Sure, I'd like to try other inserts out there, but I cannot afford to buy every paid out there to give them a try. These on the other hand I know work for me and if you have a bad back just give them a few weeks and you will notice a big difference.
Customer Review: Walk Fit - Not for WOMEN! Summary: 1 Stars
Apparently Walk-Fit Orthotics may come in different sizes, but they only come in one width. I wear EE shoes (way wider than most women!). I did not at first realize that the Walk Fits were too wide, but I did notice that my feet felt like they were tilting to the outside. I attributed the tilt to the "Breaking-In Phase." Of course, the only thing that broke was my alignment (several costly trips to the chiropractor have NOT remediated the situation).
When I finally took a closer look (unfortunately, it was a few week later), I realized that the orthotics were actually tilted inside my shoe because they were slightly wider than my shoe. I had a friend with a C width shoe try them on; well, she never acutally got to try them on because they did not even begin to fit inside her shoe. Since the average woman's shoe width is B, most women cannot begin to wear the Walk-fit. Now, they can send it right back for a full refund - minus shipping and handling of course (probably a great money-maker for the company right there).
I have heard comments about the difficulty of trying to return products to Walk-Fit. They are true! Maybe a few lucky souls get their money back, but the company just won't do it - they have several reasons why they don't have to. I consider the company to engage in false advertising - the product is not for women, but the infomercials do not say that. I'm going to contact my State's Attorney's Office to report fraudulent practices. I suggest all other unhappy consumers do the same.
Customer Review: Product 5 Stars - WalkFit Customer service - 0 Stars Summary: 2 Stars
April 5, 2009 - This is an update to a previous review.
I've used these inserts for Plantar Fasciatis in both feet and a heel spur in one and have received complete relief. They are firm, and I also switch sometimes to a softer orthotic insert, but if I wear only the softer ones for several days, the pain returns and I have to switch back to the WalkFit. I have a sister-in-law that didn't like them. I like them very much. 5 Stars.
I saw an infomercial describing a newer WalkFit with softer heel cushion and plan to try them.

I bought Walkfit at CVS, which now carries a limited range of sizes. It is helping. I've used an Alimed orthotic for ten years, but the Walkfit, although it's taken a week to get used to, has really eased my plantar faciitis and heel spur.
BUT - I ordered a pair online for my wife a week ago (not via Amazon) and there was no email confirmation of the order. I've emailed them twice to make sure they received the order and have had not yet received a response.
If Amazon was handling this product directly, it would be worth a try. Otherwise, check out CVS or Target to see if they carry your size. Plus, you won't have to pay the $9.95 shipping per pair.
Customer Review: Fixed my foot problem, but.... Summary: 4 Stars
I woke up one morning to discover I had developed plantar fasciitis and my heel was hurting so badly I thought I had broke it. I was hobbling around for a couple of weeks completely avoiding housework. Then I almost decided to see a podiatrist since this appeared to be a serious foot problem. After researching plantar fasciitis I came across Walkfit Orthotics and decided to give them a try. I am so glad I did. Even though it feels like I am walking on a tennis ball all day, the pain is completely gone as long as my shoes have Walkfit orthotics in them. I even tried Dr. Scholls Heel Pain Relief Orthotics, and although they took the heel pain away, I found I had a burning, stinging pain in my ankle when I wore these, so all they did was relocate the pain. The best way to wear the Walkfit orthotics is to first remove the insoles your shoes come with, then put in the Walkfit orthotics as far back in the heel of the shoe that you can, and then cover them with Dr. Scholls Memory Foam insoles to provide some comfort and shock absorption. These inserts have not only saved my feet, but they have saved my bank account hundreds of dollars in custom orthotics and podiatrist visits. Dr. Scholls Memory Fit Customizing Insoles, Womens 1 pair
Customer Review: WalkFit Insoles Are Great Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using the older model of Walk Fit insoles for several years and couldn't be happier. My arches were starting to fall (I'm in my 60's and on my feet all day) and have diagnosed heel spurs. No matter what kind of support tennis shoes I've tried, the side material seemed to break down within 3 months, rendering painful arches by the end of the day. I've never been happier with an insole as the Walk Fit brand.
I recently bought the Platinum model of Walk Fit, as well as 3 pair for relatives. After using them for a few weeks, they are also quite happy with the results. I'm not sure I like them as much as the older model, but since it has a spongy heel pad, I'm giving them a try. Whenever I buy a new pair of tennis shoes, I always make sure there is enough room for the Walk fit insoles, as they do take up some room. Shoes that are not adjustable on the top may not accommodate the Walk Fit. Make sure you try them out with the Walk Fit inserts before buying. I've not tried returning the products by why would I? I'm quite content with their design and results for MY feet. They won't be a cure all for everyone. Good luck on your search for happier feet.
