I have been collecting this pattern for the last 15 years and have enough for 12 settings. It is fun and says Holidays just by looking at them. Do to the expense I buy a little every year and hope none get broken. They do say on the bottom dishwasher safe and microwave safe. Although I did have one crack last year after going in the microwave. I returned it to a local retailer and they replaced it at no cost. one in 15 years isn't bad. While in Germany I looked for these, they don't seem to sell them there.

The combination of red, green and white decorations are central to the holiday season. All ceramic pieces are highfire earthenware and are dishwasher safe. There are dozens of different pieces including dinnerware, glassware, linens, and accessories. This boxed collection of four red earthenware dinner plates is from Waechtersbach, makers of fine china since 1832. Each 10-inch plate prominently displays a fir tree decked with silver-white ornamental baubles, stars, and Christmas candles. The plates look dazzling atop a snow-white, forest green, or sable tablecloth. For formal or casual seasonal entertaining, the plates would also make a handsome traditional gift. --Carol Gnojewski
