10 years ago I bought this spatula when I lived in Germany and have used it and loved it ever since. My only regret was that I did not buy 2 of them. Fortunately, I was in a local store where I saw WMF utensils and low and behold, there was my spatula. The design has not changed in at least 10 years, and with good reason. First off, since it doesn't have a wood handle, it's dishwasher safe. But the best thing about this spatula is the fact that it's so sturdy while being so THIN! You can EASILY slide under foods without them being pushed around or damaged. Also, with the flat part being just a little longer than normal, you can be sure to get underneath your entire food product. Eggs are probably one of the most challenging spatula items because they are so delicate, but this spatula excels in lifting and turning them without destroying them.
The spatula cleans very easily and because it's so thin, I've never had any problem of food getting caked on in the slots; it's a breeze to clean. After 10 years of use and thousands of runs in the dishwasher, it still quite literally looks like new. The price here on Amazon is really good and is a few dollars cheaper than what I paid in the store.
If this turner/spatula interests you, you might also want to look at the WMF Butterfly Turner. Because there is less metal on it, there is less surface area to rub on your food when sliding under it. This turner is really good for fish.
