My wife hates the mashers that have the single "wire" that goes back and forth. She wanted one like her mother had--the "waffle" head. You wouldn't think it would be that difficult to find one that feels like it would last. It's not so hard to find a "waffle" head type masher. But, finding one that is sturdy...That has proven quite difficult.
Until now.
I found this one by doing a search on Amazon. I waded through a couple of other models but didn't think they were what I was looking for. By looking at the pictures of this one it looks like it would be easy to bend and probably useless after just a use or two. But, after reading the reviews for it, and all the comments that mentioned it was sturdy, I took the plunge.
The package just arrived and I took it out to have a look. This thing is really stiff! This thing will last for some time. The head is a bit smaller than I expected but not so small that it will make it a pain to use. My question is whether the stainless steel handle is going to be slippery during use.
I'm glad I read the other reviews and trusted my fellow Amazon shoppers. I can't wait to surprise the wife with it.
