Description of Villeroy & Boch Dune 8-1/4-Inch Oval Bowl

Dune Lines color and texture is inspired by the desert where the wind draws unique formations in the fine sand. Thus it is with the wavy relief drawn through the surface of each flat plate. It is the feminine counterpart to the New Wave collection: the shape and design are structured in an organic flowing manner. There are two different variations in the pattern: plates that are round without any recognizable transition between the center and the rim and the modified oval plate with sensuously sweeping edges. This wavy relief, uniquely placed in the center of each flat piece, completes the unusual styling . As with all Villeroy & Boch dinnerware, it is dishwasher and microwave safe.

Inspired by the fluid beauty of ever changing sand formations, Villeroy & Boch's Dune Lines pattern combines organic movement and contemporary sensibilities. Incorporating rounded corners and undulating edges the design elegantly captures the gentle contours of the dunes, while also adding a modern feel to the table. A low relief pattern adorns the serving area depicting the trails of sand as they drift with the wind, adding movement to the static, off-white porcelain.
