Description of Villeroy & Boch Cottage Inn Footed Cake Plate

This footed cake plate has a blue base and stem and decorated with a finial which adds an interesting design. The handpained cherries on the plate make it a perfect addtion to the Cottage Collection. Evoking a memory of days gone by, the footed cake plate will enhance any desert.

Villeroy & Boch's Cottage collection brings a bit of country style to a kitchen or dining room in either a rural or suburban setting, evoking memories of berry picking, baking pies, and simpler times. This clear glass cake plate has a blue glass pedestal base that raises it 6 inches above table height and an 11-3/4-diameter plate that is big enough to hold larger cakes. Encircling the plate are decorative bunches of blueberries and cherries, hand painted in blue and red with green leaves. The berries' branches and leaves are etched to provide some texture to the design. The plate is delicate and should be handwashed.
