Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Villaware V2160 UNO ProPress Panini GrillCustomer Review: Great kitchen toy Summary: 5 Stars
This grill is wonderful. I have only one complaint; the recipe booklet gives no indication of cooking times. For panini & grilling novices, some experimentation is necessary. Here are a few sarting points (all at maximum heat after the grill has reached cooking temperature):
Panini - about 4 minutes
Grilled cheese sandwiches - about 4 minutes
Chicken breasts - about 8 minutes
Andouille sausage - about 10 minutes
Additions anyone?
Customer Review: Great Panini Grill Summary: 5 Stars
This product works great for us. We thought we may not use it very much but it turns out to be used often. I like to grill up quesadillas (I like them slightly crunchy).
Sturdy construction
No on/off switch, we just unplug it when we are done.
The drip pan is a little awkward to setup, it feels like it should connect to the grill. But I don't think it does.
I recommend this product.
Customer Review: great paninis....everytime Summary: 5 Stars
this is the 2nd Villaware proPress Panini Grill that I have purchased (one for my use and the other as a great Christmas present) this grill is fast, easy and dependable to give you a fabulous breakfast, lunch or dinner...each and every time!! enjoy, your purchase...you are going to love it! Also, the grill 'panini-lines' are very pronounced on your sandwich...just the way it should be! have fun & be creative!
Customer Review: buyer beware villaware Summary: 2 Stars
I bought one of these a couple years ago and wanted to give you some consumer feedback. It works great and is attractive but after a few years -conveniently after it no longer has warranty coverage the non stick surface completely breaks down - peeling off in long hunks diminishing it's sexyness and functionality quite a bit. I spoke with a villa ware representative who pretty much told me tough luck.
Customer Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars
I bought this grill when I first opened my panini/sandwich shop in July 2007. I open 6 days of the week for at least 9 hours and the grill runs constantly from the time we open to the minute we close. It's now 2010 March :).... it burnt out recently but my dad says it can be fixed (he's working on it).... I am definitely going to order another one just like it to meet the demands....
