Hand-forged in Solingen, Germany, the Professional collection is made of high-carbon stainless steel. All the knives have a single-piece construction and easy to sharpen, long lasting blades. This cutlery set includes a santoku knife, a hollow-ground slicing knife, and a paring knife. Use the Santoku knife for general slicing, dicing, and mincing. Use the hollow-ground slicing knife for slicing sticky foods, such as ham and salmon since the oval blade indentations keep food from sticking. Use the paring knife for peeling and coring fruits and vegetables. The knives feature polyxymethylene handles with fiberglass reinforcement and a full tang running the length of the handles, which means that the grip conforms to the shape and follows the outline of the steel.
