Great knife, price, shipping. highly recommended.
I didn't quite realize how large this knife is (really shape too). You'll need plenty of room to do the slicing.
I wish I could find a sheath for the blade. I recommend opening the package on the edge near the handle (along the seem) and use the packaging to protect the knife (and anyone handling items close to the knife....VERY SHARP!!!).
Very happy with purchase (ordered two).
Another GREAT advantage of purchasing from Amazon is they sent the knifes to two separate locations...all that shipping was free (PRIME) and arrived on-time (early in one case).

OMG!! this knife is freaky sharp... please be careful... since the knife is long, it wouldn't fit in my pull-out drawer, so i have to store it in a bottom cabinet w/ my pizza knife... well, i was re-arranging the cabinet and didn't realize my thumb was close to the knife... you got it... it reached out and grabbed the tip of my thumb... i was afraid to look... i haven't had a chance to use it, per se, but it WILL cut extremely thin slices, just as i had hoped... the tip of my thumb is healing well... ENJOY!
update: 2/26/11... FYI... as i recall, the knife i purchased was around $40 w/free shipping, not $68 plus shipping...

This is a great knife! I'm an amateur cook, now graduating to doing lunches and dinners for up to 300 people, so my knives do not sit idle in the drawer. This is a terrific slicing knife-almost effortless--if you use the same pressure in slicing that you have been with other knives, you'll probably bounce the meat right off the board onto the floor--I'm serious. No shredding, no tearing, no slices sticking to the knife blade. Probably the closest thing to a professional deli slicer there is (but unfortunately not as "automatic"). I enjoy good knives. I throw away those that just don't cut it (pun intended). This one's a keeper. Uniquely designed, it is very long to be able to stretch across the whole breast of a turkey and cuts perfectly. It is a thin design, making it less bulky to hold. I've had knives that hold onto whatever it cuts, but this one easily lets go of whatever it slices. However, on meats that are less dense, ie pot roast, it didn't do as well... but what knife does? Let me know! It's pricey, but this one will be around our holiday tables forever.Customer Review: Top rated slicer

I love the Forschner knives and have bought a number of smaller ones over the past couple of years. They do hold an edge beautifully and sharpen easily. In spite of a low price point they outperform any knife I've yet owned or used and I'd recommend any of them. This one, however was a bit more of an investment for me but I haven't regretted it. When you need a carving knife, you need a good one and this is a great one. Especially like the Granton Edge, as the meat doesn't stick and slices roll right off the blade.
