Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Vic Firth French Rolling PinCustomer Review: I LOVE this rolling pin Summary: 5 Stars
I am a back to the basics kind of cook. I make bread, baked goods and pie crusts completely by hand and enjoy doing everything hands on. I completely agree with all of the positive reviews of this product. It is simplicity at its finest. I am so glad I purchased this even though I paid double the current price for it. NO regrets!!
Customer Review: Nice, but Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this for use in my home where a lot of baking is done. While it is nicely made, it is much narrower than others I've looked at, and lighter in weight. It is probably best for a small woman's hand, and not where a man will be using it. I was diappointed, ended up giving it away, and buying a different one.
Customer Review: Works very well Summary: 4 Stars
It's the perfect size, light weight, not too big around so it rolls out very well. I just used it to make homemade pasta and it was an excellent tool. Pie crust will work equally well. This is the only kind of roller to use, all others are inferior. I've been baking and using roller pins for 30 years.
Customer Review: Easy to use Summary: 5 Stars
Much easier to use than traditional rolling pin because instead of gripping the handles, your handles glide over the top making rolling much less effort. The tapered thin rolling pin enables me to have more control over the thickness of the dough. I can press down hard or use a light hand.
