I thought I was the only one to have this problem, but after reading the reviews I see that someone else experienced the same thing. So obviously it is a defect. I have had mine for a couple years using it only occasionally, but a couple months after I bought it I noticed that it only would hold a charge for a day or so. Finally after about 6 months I decided to replace the battery. Again I did not check to see if it held a charge and just assumed the battery was the problem. Later in the year I noticed the same problem but when you in need of a light you don't investigate the problem, you just use another light. Lately I decided to fix it once and for all so I replaced the battery again and guess what. Still no charge. I will never buy a Vector light again. By the way in the interim Vector was bought out by Black and Decker. Doubt they will fix the problem either.Customer Review: great product

We love the spotlight. It is really bright and seems to be holding a charge good. There was a broken piece on the spotlight when we received it and the company has discontinued them now, but the spotlight still works.Customer Review: Bright
