Customer Review: Afraid to use this pot for cooking

We knew we were taking a chance with this pot, as it was much cheaper than comparably sized stock/brewpots. We will be recycling it after writing this review.
The pot is extremely light.
I washed the pot according to the directions, and did a test boil to check the performance of the pot before using it to cook anything.
The lid does not sit flat on the pot. When the test boil water was simmering, the condensation could escape out of the pot, run down the pot, and end up on to the burner.
I used tap water for the test boil, which is what I would use to boil pasta or to make chicken stock. The water appeared to be light blue when filling the pot (which is not normal). Then, upon bringing to a boil, the water looked brown as the pot itself was beginning to discolor. The pot is now discolored brown from the test boil. The boiled water was clear; however, it tasted metallic. After the pot dried, I rubbed down the inside with a damp white paper towel. The brown discoloration remained on the pot, and the paper towel turned slightly black and smelled metallic.
I'm not comfortable using this to cook anything else and will be looking to recycle it.
