I bought 3 cups like this; one of them had a warning on the bottom about lead (in the glazing I suppose) used during the mfr'ing process; rendering the cup usless for drinking; made only for display purposes so buyer be aware!Customer Review: lead warning

the warning mentioned by the other buyer is usually on older versions of the cup and it is there because CA has really strict standards. It meets the standards of a safe drinking cup int he other 49 states.Customer Review: My son loves this mug!

I bought this mug, and some others like it for my son....a huge John Wayne fan! He loves using it....won't drink coffee out of anything else!
