I love a glass of good wine with dinner... OK, sometimes two. Much to my doctor's relief, I don't drink a whole bottle at one sitting. To save the leftover wine, I use the Vacu-vin system. It's extremely affordable, the toppers are reusable, and it's much more convenient than some of the higher priced vacuum systems (or the nitrogen spray). Plus it's a fun workout pumping out the air! The Vacu Vin really does keep wine fresh and it only takes seconds to use. I gave a pump and my extra stoppers to my son, thinking I would never use more than 1 stopper at a time but ended up ordering the extra set. Another benefit beside keeping wine from turning to vinegar is that you can lay bottles on their side and thay never leak as they often do with a reinserted cork.Customer Review: works well

I've used this system for years, and it certainly extends the life of open wine. I have not left open wine at room temperature so I don't know whether that works. The seals on the stoppers eventually wear out so it helps to have extras. I consider the claim that it will keep wine for up to two weeks to be overly optimistic.Customer Review: Good product / Lousy S&H

Bought replacement vac-u-vin bottle stoppers after years of satisfactory use. The product is wonderful...the shipping & handling charges were not. I needed the product for a gift, so I made decision to pay the S&H. I will be sure to avoid this situation in the future.
Buy the vac-u-vin, but get it somewhere else.

These things work great to preserve your bottle of wine! My husband & I don't usually consume an entire bottle of wine in one sitting, so we started using the Vacu Vin wine savers, & now we open several bottles, reds, whites, whatever & don't worry about wasting the wine because it keeps for so long now!
