If you live alone this item can marinate your meal but if you expect to feed anyone else you can just forget it. YOur family or guest will just get theirs right out of the fridge. You would have to buy one of these for each person who was comming over. All the positive reviews hear must be single people. When I opened the package I was startled on just how small this item is. As for the one item it does marinate it does a fine job.Customer Review: Bigger would be even better

I was skeptical of this product but bought it when it was offered as a Gold Box special (okay, it was an impulse buy). It works even better than I expected as a marinator. I've also used it to store homemade cole slaw in the refrigerator where it slows down the oxidation process. I highly recommend this but wish they also made a bigger size. That would make it possible to marinate a large boned pork loin for Christmas.Customer Review: How many times are you people pumping this thing?!?!?!?

I've had mine for about a year and a half and I love it. I came online looking for one to give to a friend as a gift, and I saw all of these reviews telling stories of them exploding?! Good grief! How many times are you people pumping these things? It's people like you that product warning lables were created for. I've never written a product review before, but this Vacu Vin marinater really works! You know how skinless boneless chicken breasts are always pretty tasteless no matter how you do 'em? Unbelievable after 30 minutes in this thing with any marinade, then 3 minutes a side on the grill. Best I ever had, by miles!Can't wait to try fish and meat. I bought 3 more for my sisters and brother.

So very easy to use. Just put in the meat and a cup of salad dressing (yes you can use most oil and vinegar based dressing)and within a half hour you have wonderful meat full of flavor.My only gripe is that they don't make a larger version. Its a little too snug for the large london broil's and brisket my family enjoys.
Let me know when you supersize it! Otherwise its Great!!!
