I originally used this type of foil cutter at my son's house. Having suffered through several other foil cutters that were a pain to use, I kept hoping I could find this in a local store, with no luck. On my last visit to my son's, I finally looked at his cutter to determine the brand and then found it on Amazon. What a pleasure to use this cutter. I've always used a screwpull foil cutter .. but found that they typically lose one of the cutting wheels eventually. I've had this for about a year and it works great. I love the fact that it's magnetic and sticks to the fridge ... you can always find it. I've had no problems with it ... it still cuts great and has a nicer feel to it than the screwpull cutter. Cuts perfectly the first time regardless of the size or shape of the lip at the top of the bottle. I had the older Screwpull and it did well, but would often slip some bottles that didn't have enough of a cutting surface. The Vacu Vin is also smaller and with the magnetic holder, very convenient to store and keep from getting damaged in a drawer.Customer Review: Great Concept...

Don't think we should have a problem getting this one lost since it has a "home". Everything is fine with the product, so far. But when we received it, the packaged looked as if it might have been previously returned e.g. the foil cutter was not in place, the box was bent, and the opening of the box would not stay closed. I bought this for my husband because he kept asking me where the cutter was and had a hard time finding it.
NOW he has no problem finding the cutter at all because this cutter has a magnet and is securely attached to our wine opener stand. My husband is happy. It is small and looks cheap but it does a great job and is great!
