These are by far the best swaddling blankets that we got for our babies. They are super soft and just the right weight. They are also larger than most, with just a bit of stretch to make it easy to get a good secure swaddle. That they are made from organic cotton is just a bonus. As other reviewers have noted, this brand of blanket is perfect for swaddling. They are not too large or small, have a square shape, are very soft and slightly stretchy. So far these are my favorite blankets to wrap my three-week old in when she sleeps.Customer Review: Soft, high quality material

These are as soft as flannel, even after washing. We have hard water and some fabrics feel less nice if we don't use fabric softener/machine dry (which we try to avoid for the baby's stuff). These stay nice and soft.Customer Review: Softest Receiving Blankets

Like the other reviewers have said, these are the softest receiving blankets. They are softer than the Swaddle Designs receiving blankets, but not as large. They still are a good size though.
