Description of Ultra Fine Mesh Chinois by Piazza - 8 Inch
This hefty made mesh chinois does an excellent job of straining out the sediment and aromatics from stocks, bouillons, and fruit purees. Since the cone is less deep - 7 inch instead of the usual 10 or 11 inch - you can use it over a larger variety of pots and bowls. The cone is an uninterrupted flow of beautifully woven ultrafine mesh so dense it could filter cloud wisps out of the sky. The handle, welded to the frame, is a curved sheet of metal encircling a hollow core, giving you a double layer of metal to hold on to, which is more comfortable to grip than the average chinois's long, thin spatulate handle. The bracket under the rim opposite the handle lets you rest the chinois on a pot or bowl. 8 inch in diameter and made of stainless steel. Made in Italy.Cook's Tools & Gadgets
